Sometimes the best way to draw what you see is to draw what you don't see. By drawing the places around an object you are eventually left with the outline of the object. This was a great way to really learn to look at a subject.
Artists, whatever their medium, make selections from the abounding materials of life, and organize these selections into works that are under the control of the artist.... I love the rawing of the chair at he top. it was in pencil, so i know it wouldve looked much better in pen,but the overall drawing was really nice.
